Early life and education
Born to German immigrants in Olympia, Washington (March 9), the oldest of 2 children. Later moved to Seattle, then to Maryland, then Concord, California where he attended Clayton Valley H.S., was a 3-sport letterman in Football, Wrestling, and Track & Field and was later inducted into his High School Athletic Hall of Fame, and continued playing college football at LMC
His undergraduate studies at Cal State East Bay earned him a BS in Business/Marketing, was Class President of the School of Business & Economics, and received countless awards for his student leadership on campus which included creating & starring in both a popular radio and TV program
He earned his MFA -Master of Fine Arts- from the FSU Asolo Conservatory for Profession Actor Training, and later trained directly with Legendary Acting Teacher Sanford Meisner for 5 years where he co-founded the Sanford Meisner Center for the Arts, winning numerous LA Weekly’s Theatre Pick of the Week Awards
